ELIGIBILTY

M.Tech in Power Systems (EE) and Computer Science & Engineering

Eligibility Criteria for M.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering

BE / B.Tech in CSE / IT/ ECE / ECTE / ET / EE or equivalent
M.Sc. in Physics / Mathematics / Information Science or
MCA (with B.Sc. or BCA) 
Candidates with valid GATE / PGET score will be given preference
Admission Test will be a written examination followed by an interview. The syllabus of the written test will be as per GATE / PGET syllabus
Eligibility Criteria for M.Tech in Electrical Engineering
BE / B.Tech / AMIE in Electrical Engineering from any recognised university / Institute
Candidates with valid GATE / PGET score will be given preference
Candidates who have appeared / are due to appear current year at the equivalent qualifying examination may also apply. Such candidates, if selected, will be admitted only if they submit valid proof of their passing the qualifying examination
Admission Test will be a written examination followed by an interview. The syllabus of the written test will be as per GATE / PGET syllabus
Master Of Business Administration (MBA)

Graduate (10 + 2 + 3) in any discipline from UGC recognized University

Graduate (10 + 2 + 3) in any discipline from PTU / SMU and any other recognised University can also apply

Valid MAT / CMAT / WBJEMAT score

Candidates expecting the final year of degree examination result by September, 2018 can apply

Candidates with work experience will get preference

Candidates will be selected through GD & PI

Bachelor Of Technology (B.Tech)

Minimum aggregate of 45% marks and 45 % marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) in Higher Secondary or equivalent Examination.

Those who pass 10 + 2 and qualify in the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination or JEE (MAIN) Examination in the current year and recommended by Central Selection Committee are eligible for admission.

Passed Diploma Examination from an AICTE approved institution; with at least 45% marks (40% in case of reserved category students) in appropriate branch of Engineering /Technology or passed B.Sc. Degree from a recognized University as defined by UGC with at least 45% marks (40% in case of reserved category students) and passed XII standard with Mathematics as a subject.

Admission through Lateral Entry Scheme shall be made strictly on the basis of current year merit and the preference of candidates in the Common Entrance Examination for admission through Lateral Entry Scheme (i.e. JELET) conducted by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board.

Polytechnic (Diploma)

Must have passed the Secondary (Madhyamik) Examination of the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with English, Mathematics and Physical Science / Science / Science & Technology among others as subjects securing at least 35% marks (no rounding up) in aggregate as per AICTE norms excluding the marks of the subject taken as additional/optional.Those who pass class 10 and qualify in JEXPO under West Bengal State Council of Technical and Vocational Education and Skill Development (WBSCTVESD) in the current year are eligible for admission.

Candidates appearing in the Secondary (Madhyamik) Examination of the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education or its equivalent examination in 2021 with English, Mathematics and Physical Science/Science among others as subjects may also apply. However, conforming to the benchmark of 35% marks (no rounding up as per AICTE norms) in aggregate excluding the marks of the subject taken as additional/optional, is a must, failing which candidature is liable to be cancelled even after selection in JEXPO-2021.

Those who pass class 10 with 45% marks in aggregate and 45% marks in physical science and mathematics taken together are eligible for admission.

Must have passed / appeared* the (10+2) Examination of the West Bengal State Council of Technical and Vocational Education and Skill Development (Vocational Education Division) [erstwhile, West Bengal State Council of Vocational Education & Training].

Passed 2 years’ ITI at a stretch after Madhyamik or equivalent examination passed. Appeared ITI candidates are not eligible for VOCLET-2021. ITI trades must be of continuous 2 years duration and the single certificate should mention the duration of the ITI course. 

Passed / appeared* 10+2 examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with Mathematics or Biology subject from recognized Board / Council / Institute. 

Passed / appeared* 10+2 (Science) with Mathematics as one of the subject from recognized Board / Council / Institute. 

Passed / appeared* 10+2 (Science) with Technical Vocational Subjects from recognized Board / Council / Institute (including CSS for VHSE).
