During this period he coordinated technology development and research for strategic Metal Fluorides and Nuclear Waste Management. His fundamental research activities have been in the areas of Compartmented Circulating Fluidized Beds (CCFBs), Multiphase Flow of gas/solid/liquid systems, Non-mechanical valves, Chemical Looping Combustion in Interconnected Fluidized Bed(CLC-IFB), Pneumatic Spray Characterization, Agglomeration and Break-up Dynamics in Fluidization Process, Phase Distribution Maps in gas-solid-liquid systems, which directly contributed to the development of above Technologies. He was appointed as PG faculty for Homi Bhabha National Institute, Mumbai, as an additional assignment. He served as Divisional Coordinator for PG Projects under Industry Academia Linkage for close to five years and as a Member of Elite Selection Committee for Scientists for close to Seven Years.
As the Director of Birbhum Institute of Engineering and Technology, he contributed to the Selection of the Institute as one of the top fifty(50) Institutes in India (under Govt. Aided category) for TEQIP II. [A MHRD(Govt. of India) and WORLD BANK Project] and Identification as the front runner in respect of performance under TEQIP as per World Bank/ MHRD performance review process.
