It gives me great pleasure to welcome you all to the BBIT, Kolkata family. Here at most vibrant BBIT campus, we are continuously striving to stimulate our beloved students towards achieving their desired goal along with being a good human being. BBIT is committed to provide high quality education and good research opportunities to students through it's outstanding pools of research centric highly qualified and trained faculty members drawn from premier educational institutes of the country and outside it. 

With 29 National/International publications, one international patent, four books and one ongoing book Dr. Shaw is actively involved in R&D activities. Dr. Shaw has around 20years of experience in academics. Currently under the supervision of Dr. Shaw four scholars are pursuing their PhD research work from MAKAUT. He is also life time member of Indian Statistical Institute (ISI), Calcutta.

"It is a great pleasure for me to state that in a relatively short span of time, Budge Budge Institute of Technology (BBIT) has proved itself as an institution to promote and encourage a student’s conceptual knowledge on technical education. For achieving this the institute has a well-knit family of full-time qualified faculty members in five important branches of engineering. It is our endeavor to educate our students focused on all-around personality development so that they can meet the growing challenges and changing needs of the industry. Our institute provides state-of-the-art infrastructure to facilitate optimum resource allocation to each student in the areas of learning and specialization to build them, dexterous engineers. In addition to this, our institute provides ample facilities for students to take part in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities as well.

Here at BBIT, we look forward to grooming our students not only to become skilled engineers but also responsible citizens of the country and above all good human beings by infusing in them a strong sense of ethics, discipline, social and moral values. We strongly believe in providing a distinctive and relevant combination of academic skills and technical experience to our students that will lay the foundation of his/her career to become a true professional on successful completion of the course curricula."
